Powered by a 231PS/320Nm 2.0-litre petrol engine mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Mini has launched the John Cooper Works GP Inspired Edition. What makes it so special is its exclusivity, as the model is limited to just 15 units. As the name suggests, it is based on the John Cooper GP model and gets exclusive cosmetic upgrades.
The limited edition Mini gets a bespoke Racing Grey paint job with a contrasting silver roof, mirror caps, and spoiler. The 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels get specific GP hub caps. To give it a more sporty appearance, the grille, fuel filler cap, headlights and tail light surrounds, all get black inserts. Another eye-catching highlight lies in the tail lights which get a Union Jack design.
All the sportiness carries on to the inside, as is evident by the sports seats. Almost everything in the car comes with a GP badge: the upholstery, door sill, floor mats, and the paddle shifters. The handbrake too comes with a bespoke grip, along with an exclusively wrapped steering wheel. Feature highlights include a Harman Kardon 12-speaker sound system, 6.5-inch Mini touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, rear view parking camera, LED headlights, and a panoramic sunroof.
Under the hood, lies the John Cooper Works’ standard 2.0-litre petrol engine which puts out 231PS and 320Nm, helping it go from 0-100kmph in 6.1 seconds. The mill is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and comes with a claimed fuel efficiency of 16.47kmpl.
Although this is just a cosmetically enhanced variant of the John Cooper Works hatchback, the exclusive Mini is limited to just 15 units. It is priced at Rs 46.9 lakh (ex-showroom) and can be booked via Mini’s website.
